How Stray Free Malaysia Started

• In November 2022, the second Art Charity Event was held at Amari Hotel, Johor Bahru.  

• After the success of the first event, the team realised they could play a major role by educating the public while running creative and impactful events.  

• This was the beginning of the Stray Free Malaysia movement in collaboration with NANAS to address the stray animal over-population problem in Malaysia.  

• The Ultimate Goal is to turn Malaysia stray free by working geographically from south to north, starting in the state of Johor.  

• Why is this possible?  Because Peninsular Malaysia is only attached to one country, Thailand.  If countries like Netherlands (Non-Islam) and Turkey (Islam) countries could do it, why aren't we there yet?   

• All animal lovers need to join forces to change the dynamics for strays in Malaysia. 

Souse Artist decided to bring the big boys out by theming this event, Peaky Blinders (The Roaring 20's).  

• We had so many versions of Shelby's that night, it was amazing!   

• Wonderful collaborations were lined up with amazing art and support from local and international artists, a radio station, media and influencers.   

• Special guests were invited to share their knowledge and experience addressing major concerns about stray animals.
